Meet the Band
The Dance Doctors consists of the West's hottest performers and vocalists. Front-man Jay Warren sings lead with Mina Brett & Sarah Hakes as the lead female vocals. The rhythm section consists of Nate Waite, Ben Johnson, Stephen Tobian, Micah Stevens, and Jarom Hansen.

Jay Warren -
Jay is an incredible R&B artist in the valley. He’s the only R&B artist in Utah to have their album hit #1 on itunes. Jay has popular original songs & covers all over YouTube & Spotify. His infectious, on-stage personality is the perfect contribution to this upbeat dance band. When he's not performing at corporate events & weddings with the Dance Doctors, he is touring with his solo project.
Sarah Hakes -
Sarah has an extensive vocal performance experience, especially in the party band scene. She has been one of Salt Lake’s #1 calls for event musicians for over a decade. If you’re in-town you may see her performing at Lake Effect as a regular act.
Mina Brett -
Mina is comes to us from New York where she earned degrees in both Contemporary Music & Jazz Vocal performance. She’s also a talented singer/songwriter & actress; she has performed headlining shows in Europe, New York, & Branson. Mina is also sings with Billboard charting gospel/worship group “The King Will Come.”
Nate Waite -
Nate has been playing guitar from the age of 12 and for the past 10 years has been performing professionally with national acts from coast to coast and abroad. He is a studio engineer, music producer, husband, & father. Not only that, Nate is a accomplished singer/songwriter as well. We love utilizing his golden voice as often as we can; you’ll probably hear him serenading your guests during dinner or cocktail hour.
Ben Johnson -
Everybody dances when Ben's bass starts bumping :) . Ben studied music at University of Utah and has since become the person to call when someone needs a jazz, rock, funk, or pop bass player. Ben also fronts/sings with his band, Ben & the Boulevards.
Stephen Tobian -
As band leader, Stephen is usually the first to show up and last to leave. You'll also see Stephen playing saxophone, rhythm guitar, ukulele, tambourine, and DJ'ing at your Dance Doctors events. He has a music degree in Jazz Studies from BYU and an MBA from Utah Valley University.
Micah Stevens -
A band is only as good as it's beat. Micah knows how to lay down a solid dance beat, no-matter the genre. Micah cut his teeth playing church bands and party bands in Boston & New York.
Jarom Hansen -
Jarom has toured the globe as a high-end music producer & composer. Coupled with his incredible keyboard skills, Jarom is a valuable addition to the Dance Doctors and we are lucky to have him! You may hear Jarom’s compositions & arrangements on public television shows, contemporary theater productions, and more.
